Plano Rotary Club: Weekly Meeting ~
Plano Community Library at 12:15 pm
The Plano Rotary Club meets weekly on Tuesdays at the Plano Community Library. Individuals interested in joining Rotary are welcome. For more information about the Plano Rotary Club and membership, please contact Rich Healy, 630-552-7272.
Golden Harvesters~
The Golden Harvesters meet the second Friday of each month at 5:30 pm at the 1st Lutheran Church in Plano. Attendees are to bring a dish to pass and their table service. The meat and beverage are provided.
Plano Community Library:
Images of America-Plano~
A visual history of Plano including 200 captioned photographs will be available for sale at the Plano Library and other area businesses beginning on September 10. Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the library.
The Writers’ Group~
Join with other writers to discuss your work. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration is required. Open to adults and high school students.
Local Authors Program~
- Come and meet local authors and hear about their work. You’ll have a chance to chat with the authors and purchase books. No registration is required.
New Book Discussion Group~
- Join us at the launch of Plano Community Library’s new book club on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 pm. This new discussion group will focus on a variety of gen-res. The October selection will be Half Broke Horses; A True Life Novel by Jeannette Walls.
No Registration is required. Books are available at the Check-Out Desk.
